Cyrila and Canris only met after Edaine's death, and they are both bounded by grief and full of hostility due to the events leading up to it.

Edaine

Edaine and Cyrila have been matesprites for a very long time, and they are happy, truly, if it wasn't for all their work and some surpressed desires and the inability to talk about any of their issues. And then it all comes crashing down and suddenly they can't ignore the way their relationship has degraded anymore. Murder may not be the best way to save your marriage, but maybe a harsh break was exactely what they needed to refuel the flames and find out if they really were made for each other.

Xandir

Cyrila and Xandir cannot stand each other in totally platonic ways. Definitely no sexual tension here, no flirting, no pinning against walls. Just heated debates about politics and how to best improve living standards for trolls. There is absolutely no reason for Xandir to get all blushy and stammering aroung the big tall beautiful lady.
